This commission was for a surprise Christmas present for the mother. The photo I worked from was provided to me by a portrait photographer (which I compositionally arranged a bit for the painting). I felt that it might have been a more powerful composition with the mother’s face included (sort of a Mary Cassatt feel). But I kept silent; because I was happy to have to paint one person and not two:) And I apologize for using the same audio I created for my previous baby reel. I could not resist and, as we all know, resistance is futile. And almost no babies were eaten during the production of this video.
