Linda Carter Wonder Woman
I originally began this painting because I wanted to make myself a copy of the original I had sold (which I now wish I hadn't). But as I began, I quickly decided to paint my favorite Wonder Woman, Linda Carter, instead. This video shows the steps of me altering and completing the composition from my original work to my new version.
I didn't want to reuse my "invisible jet" joke in the word bubble so I played upon the name of Gal Gadot for this painting. I have nothing against Gal Gadot and I thought the first solo movie with her was very good. I do wish, at some point, they would hire a more athletic, rough and tumble, actor for the part (like a Gina Carano). Diana is, after all, an Amazon and one of the most badass characters in the multiverse.
But I was born in 1968; so Linda Carter will always be my Wonder Woman.
